The Main Transporter room of the Defiant class starship is an important thoroughfare - the point which away teams are dispatched to important missions. Vital when the Federation was faced with war with the Dominion
Access Point
The Transporter Room is kept at the ready to transport passengers and crew on or off the ship. Away teams can be beamed from the ship into important situations instantaneously, while passengers and guests arriving aboard the Defiant can go from the transporter room directly to the turbolift which will then deliver them to their required destination aywhere on the ship. A turbolift stop is located in the corridor directly outside each transporter room; the main transporter room is connected directly to the main bridge and other major areas of the ship

The pad on the floor of the transporter is clearly divided into six sections. This is the maximum number of people to beam out simultaneously. - OPERATOR
CONSOLE
The coordinates to which the travelers are to be sent are programmed in by the Transporter Cheif. This job holds a great deal of responsibility, as the smallest mistake could cost lives. - ENTRANCE
Two doors provide access to the transporter room. In the event of an emergency, such as a hull breach, fire or on enemy attack, the doors can be automatically sealed to prevent entry
