observation lounge
the meeting place where important decisions are made
The observation lounge is the perfect meeting place for senior bridge crew. Located behind the bridge for easy access, it is used for conferences and presentations.
The observation lounge is a small, quite place where seinor staff and specialists meet with the captain to formulate plans, report findings, and offer recommendations.
At the head of the table the captain listens to the discussions, interjecting comments, questions and suggestions. Once the captain is satisfied, a decision is announced along with everyone's orders.
Easy Access
The lounge has two points of entry/exit. On the starboard side, a doorway opens out onto a ramp on the main bridge. On the port, a second doorway leads to a turbolift.
The decor in the room is functional and elegant. One spectacular aspect os the lounge's aft 'window wall' offering a humbling view of the retreating starscape
Furniture consists of the conference table and chairs. In front of each chair, the rable has built in button pads that allow crew to interact with the ship's main computer
At each end of the room is a large wall viewer display. The captain's end normally displays the spacecraft system status display which shows current conditions in the ship.
The second wall viewer, near the starboard bridge exit, often shows a Starfleet operations chart. This lists the names f every starfleet ship, organised by sector, plus its registry, captain and mission status
