captains quarters
captain janeway always has time to discuss personal matters that her crew may have in her quarters
Intrepid class vessels, such as the U.S.S. Voyager are smaller than Galaxy or Sovereign class vessels, and therefore their interior space is at a premium.
Starfleet has, however, long recognised that keeping a crew within confined spaces on long missions can have detrimental effects after time, particularly on senior crew members who face additional pressures and challenges over their lower ranked colleagues. As such, there is a direct relationship between rank and the size allocated to quarters, with the captian naturally having the largest amount of space avaliable. The living area given over to Captain Janeway is no exception.
Located on the forward leading slope of the ship, directly underneath the main bridge, Captain Janeway's quarters are deliberately designed to allow her to continue working when not officially on duty, or to relax in whatever time she has to spare. Janeway's quarters are accessed via two sets of door that open out onto the main access corridor, both enable the captain to enter the largest of the three sections which make up her quarters.
